Okay, so, this one is a little tongue-in-cheek but it’s also a perfect representation of my other when I make yet another mistake in the kitchen. (It happens more often than you’d think!)
You simply fill this literal angry mama with water and vinegar/lemon juice/etc., and the steam and natural cleaning ingredients will do the rest. No more bad smells, no more unsightly stains; just a nice, clean microwave.
2: Microwave Spaghetti Cooker
Sometimes, making spaghetti can be a real pain. You need to get the pot, then fill it with water, then wait for it to boil, then add the spaghetti… It’s just such a long-winded process, don’t you think? This gadget makes life a lot easier. You can make spaghetti in the microwave, with ease, giving you more time and effort to spend on more important things. I love that; don’t you?

18: Fridge Thermometer
Do you know what temperature the inside of your fridge is? You should know. Some modern refrigerators have a built-in temperature gauge but older models may not have this… or the thermometer may not work. (Especially with digital ones.)
The temperature of your fridge could be too high. Turning it down a degree or two will save you money and make your home eco-friendlier.

I love this gadget so much that I featured it in 10 Amazing Avocado Gadgets You Need in Your Kitchen, and there are storage pods for other fruits and vegetables than avocados, too. With more than 1,500 reviews and an average score of 4.4 out of 5 stars, I’m clearly not the only one who thinks this gadget is an absolute winner.
20: ChillFactor Slushy Maker
Okay, so, this slushy maker makes me want to revert to my younger self. As someone who grew up in the nineties, I can’t tell you how much slushies still make me smile. This maker is super easy to use, basically does science right in front you, and you can put whatever flavours you like in it. I’m thinking a boozy one; how about you?

As well as being a measuring cup, this 8-in-1 tool also acts as a funnel, a juicer (for lemons, etc.), a grater, an egg-cracker, a can opening, a shredder, and an egg separator. Why buy eight kitchen gadgets when you can just buy one?!
22: Reusable Coffee Capsules
As the owner of a Bosch Tassimo, I can’t tell you how happy finding these reusable capsules makes me. I’ve gone through so many of those pod-things, and I have absolutely no clue how to recycle them (although I am investigating further). Being able to refill a reusable pod sounds heavenly to me, so this is definitely one I’ll try and report back on!

It’s portable, can be used in several ways (electric skillet, frying pan, saucepan, noodle cooker, etc.), and can cook a wide variety of foods – including eggs, hot pots, porridge, soup, rice pudding, chicken and other meats, pasta, and much more.

Wouldn’t it be nice to just turn on the kettle from the comfort of your own bed in the morning, giving yourself an extra few minutes of snuggle time? That’s exactly what you’ll get with this awesome kettle. The stainless steel, 1.7-litre capacity kettle works with an app, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, etc, and even allows you to pick the boiling temperature.
25: Brifit Mini Bag Sealer
If you’ve ever wanted to seal a bag back up, like those massive bags of crisps, this gadget will do just that. Using heat, the sealer does just as the name suggests: seals the bag. It also cuts, can be charged up via USB, is efficient and works quickly, and is super compact.
26: Shaped Sushi Roll Maker
Love making sushi but don’t quite have the knack for it? It’s a jug and kitchen scales all in one, but that’s not the only reason I think this kitchen gadget is genius. The multi-functional mixing bowl also comes apart from the scales/jug and can be used separately. You can even choose between different ingredients to ensure you get the best and more precise amount.
28: Over-the-Sink Colander & Strainer Basket
You know all those times you wish you had an extra hand to help strain out potatoes or pasta or whatever? Well, this basket that sits over the sink is exactly that: an extra pair of hands. It extends and retracts to fit your sink, but that’s not all. It can be used for both fresh, hot, cooked, and frozen foods; drains quickly to prevent mould, and also is dishwasher safe; and grows to up to 19.5-inches in length. Or width. You know what I mean – across the sink.
29: Twist & Tumbler Ice Ball Makers
If you’ve ever wanted to make your drinks look the actual nuts, these ice balls are the way to go. (In my opinion, obviously.) You could use them to make fruity treat-balls for your pets, as a way to freezer berries and other things, and in various other ways.
30: Microwave Rice Cooker
If, like me, you seem to have a bit of a tough time making rice, this microwave rice cooker will make life a lot easier for you. This dishwasher safe kitchen gadget has a 2.6-litre capacity, can also be used to cook couscous and polenta, and is free from BPAs and phthalates.

31: Electric Potato Peeler
It’s the kitchen gadget we didn’t even realise we needed, but I must admit, I do relish the thought of anything that makes peeling potatoes an easier process. As far as awesome kitchen gadgets on Amazon 2023 go, this one might just be my favourite. This device will make a single cup of coffee, pouring it into a thermal travel mug, ready for you to literally grab it and go. Mornings just got a whole load easier!
35: Ikea Sealing Clips
If your frozen peas keep sliding out of the bag and hiding in weird, hidden spots in your freezer, you need these Ikea sealing clips. I inherited some really old clips like these from my Grandma, and they’ve got to be at least twenty years old. They still look as good as new, and I use them for all frozen food bags, crisp packets, coffee packets, and much more. You’ll be surprised by just how many uses these little guys have!
36: Foldable Silicone Collapsible Bowl-Plate-Basket
For all those times you wished you had an extra fruit bowl or basket, this foldable silicone bowl-slash-plate-slash-basket might come in handy. It’s perfect for camping trips and picnics, too. When you’re finished eating, simply collapse it down into a nice, small and compact form, ready to pack away until next time.
37: StaySafe 5-in-1 Fire Extinguisher
Safety comes first, right? This space-saving fire extinguisher is there for those times you really need it, tackling five different types of fire in mere seconds. (According to the packaging, obviously.) You can use this extinguisher for paper and card fires alongside diesel and petrol fires, textile fires, electrical fires, and cooking oil-based fires.
38: Ventilated Microwave Plate Covers
There are a few reasons why these ventilated plate covers are great. Firstly, they cover food left on the counter and prevent contamination from flies, etc. Secondly, you can stack plates in the fridge when they have these lids on them. (Smart!) Thirdly, you can use them to cover your food when you put it in the microwave – and it is ventilation so there won’t be any condensation or micro-explosions. I think I’ve made my case for them… don’t you?

If you need to warm baby milk on the go, or make a cup of coffee on the go, or have some soup-in-a-cup on the go, this portable electric kettle might work for you. It’s rechargeable, gently boils in under five minutes, and looks all snazzy in food safe stainless steel. Oh, did I mention, it’s got great reviews?
40: Poachies Egg Poaching Bags
If you’re tried of not quite perfecting the art of poached egg, use something that’ll make life a lot easier. I won’t tell anyone you’re using egg poaching bags if you don’t!
41: JKG Colour Changing Egg Timer
While I’m on the subject of eggs, this colour changing egg timer is pretty brilliant. The timer changes colour, with the ‘yolk’ growing bigger and getting bolder as the egg turns from raw to soft-boiled, then to medium-boiled, then to hard-boiled. You’ll never fluff up the eggs again!
42: Slow Cooker Liners
These are, quite literally, bags that you put in your slow cooker before you add your ingredients. Everything cooks in the bag, then when you’re finished cooking with it, you remove the bag and dispose of it. The slow cooker itself is left clean, without the need for lots of scrubbing or soaking.
43: Wacaco Nanopresso Portable Espresso Maker
I’m sorry… Did someone just say, ‘espresso on the go’? I’m all in for this one, as a self-confessed caffeine addict and full-time coffee drinker. I’m not normally one for espresso, but I’d make a lot of exceptions for a coffee in my pocket at all times.
44: Animal Shape Induction Pancake and Egg Griddle Frying Pan
No, you are not too old for animal shaped pancakes or eggs in the morning, especially when they’re this cool! With a dinosaur, owl, cat, llama (or alpaca, I’m not sure?), elephant, and (what I believe is) a butterfly, there’s a shape for all the family.
45: 8-Pan Rack Organiser
Are you tired of every saucepan falling out on you when you try to grab just one from the cupboard? If so, you’re going to love this kitchen gadget. 46: 9-Holed Herb Stripper
If you hate stripping fresh herbs from your garden by hand, this tool will do the job for you. You simple place the base of the herb through the appropriate hole, pull it through, and let the herby leaves and good bits fall into a bowl or similar below. The edge can then be used as a herb-cutter, giving you another use.
47: Joie Kitchen Pot Watchers
If you’ve got a habit of walking away from boiling water on the stove, these pot watchers will help you avoid a big mess. These silicone devices lift the lid away from the pot slightly, avoiding overboiling. Plus, they look cute. Who doesn’t want cute stuff in the kitchen?
48: Cooks Professional Electric Pizza Oven
This electric pizza oven can also be used to make other things, but that’s not the best news is. It’s also eco-friendly, using less energy than a traditional oven, cooking pizzas in just three to five minutes. That’s after letting it heat up for approximately five to ten minutes. Either way, it’s quicker than the oven and gives you the option of having wood-fired pizzas right at home, without the price of an actual outdoor pizza oven.

I’ve added this to the list of awesome kitchen gadgets on Amazon 2023 just because it’s cute and hilarious. And, in my experience, you never realise you need to buy a pizza cutter until you’ve got a pizza in front of you that you can’t cut!
50: Breville HotCup Hot Water Dispenser
This one-cup kettle boils water fast, only heats and then releases one cup’s worth of water at a time (saving you money) and lights up – which is just one reason why I want it. The other is: my mother has this exact kettle, and I’ve been trying to steal it ever since she got it. No such luck yet. I think I’m going to have to just buy my own. With over 18,000 glowing reviews, it appears I’m not the only one who’s obsessed with it.
